  27. Hi all, I'm a film student and ran in to what seems an interesting opportunity to
  28. do some animation for a 16mm film. I first was asked to consider animating for the
  29. project a few months ago by a fellow film student. At that time she had no funding for
  30. the film. For some reason she wants to use 3D instead of traditional hand drawn. I ran
  31. in to her yesterday and she asked if I was still interested because she now has found
  32. funding. The film is for Mike and Spikes Festival of Twisted Animation. So we're gonna
  33. be making some gross stuff probably. They haven't finalized the effects yet but are
  34. working on it. They would begin filming in a few months. I thought this would be a
  35. good opportunity to offer a chance to some other LightWavers to break out of video and
  36. move in to the film world, okay it's only 16mm but its film at least ;)...

  38. So if you're in the Silicon Valley/Santa Cruz or Los Angeles regions and feel that you
  39. are qualified to do work on this project. Please email me. I can't promise that you'll
  40. get paid big bucks, ( I have a feeling some money will have to go into buying larger
  41. hard drives rather than in the pockets of the film's crew) but we should get paid some
  42. amount of money, get our names on a film that will be shown around the USA...and that
  43. means exposure for us who are not in the lightwave limelight yet. People who have
  44. experience modeling for character type objects, layout animators who are comfortable
  45. character animating and people who are good with compositing video with CGI are highly
  46. desired...If you feel that you've something special to add to the production..feel
